I came to Trinity in June 2023 to serve as the Discipleship Coordinator, connecting girls, boys, women, and men to our Savior Jesus and equipping them to fulfill the Great Commission to “go and make disciples of all nations” (i.e., all people) wherever, whenever, with whomever God places us! I’m deeply passionate about equipping people to do the church’s ministry, which is what God calls us to do.
I have three great adult children and eight grandchildren ranging in age from 1 to 17. My oldest son’s (Erik) family lives in Palatine. My daughter’s (Ashley) family lives in Lakemoor. And my youngest son’s (Stephen) family lives in Round Lake Beach.
Prior to my coming to Trinity, I served as a professor in the College of Education at Concordia University Chicago. Before that, I served for 27 years as a Director of Christian Education and Lutheran teacher in congregations and schools in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Concordia College – River Forest, a Master of Science in Family Life Education from Concordia – Nebraska, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organizational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago.
In my free time I enjoy riding my motorcycle and spending time with my children and grandchildren. I also enjoy travel, especially if there’s a beach involved. Florida is one of my go to places. I’ve also been privileged to travel in Canada, Mexico, Panama, and Paraguay.
